Over the winter, we lost a very special part of our Double G family.

Opening camp this year didn’t feel quite the same.

As everyone started arriving and neighbors gathered like usual, there was someone missing. It didn’t take long before stories were shared and the sentiments were expressed of how different things feel without Clay.

If you knew Clay from camp, chances are you spent some time with him around a campfire, the little green table, or both!

He could talk about anything and had so much knowledge, so many stories, and a lifetime of wisdom to share.

Whether it was conversation, advice, or laughter, Clay had a way of making time spent with him meaningful.

He wasn’t just a customer here. He was a friend, a neighbor, and truly part of the Double G Family.

This season feels a little quieter without him, and his absence has been felt in a big way. But we are so incredibly grateful for the memories, conversations, laughs, and time we were lucky enough to share with him.

Clay is missed dearly by so many.

We continue to send our love to his wife and family. Thank you for sharing him with us. His memory will be carried on around the little green table and campfires throughout the park.
