Camp W Day Camp Camp W where friendships are made. Camp W, “Where Friendships Are Made”, is day camp for campers Pre-K through 9th grade.

We offer 9 weeks of exciting activities with small group sizes to ensure excellent instruction and supervision. Campers in 2nd grade and up choose their afternoon activities. such as, baseball, game room, ceramics, virtual reality and so many other choices. Check out our website www.campwdaycamp.com

For many kids, the biggest question about camp isn’t what they’ll do—it’s who they’ll do it with! ❤️

At Camp W, Where Friendships Are Made starts with the little moments: a counselor making an introduction, an invitation to join a game, or a shared laugh during an activity.

Our counselors are actively involved in helping every camper feel welcomed, included, and connected! 💙

🎭 Our Group Performance Skits also help friendships grow as campers spend two weeks practicing, working together, and celebrating their accomplishments as a team.

💡 Parent Tip: Help your child practice simple conversation starters like “What’s your name?” or “Can I join you?” And remind them that a counselor is always there to help!

Because the best part of summer isn’t just the activities—it’s the friends you make along the way! ☀️

CAMP W IS HIRING A KIDDIE CAMP DIVISION DIRECTOR! ☀️
📍 Melville, Long Island
Are you a teacher who loves working with young children and knows how to lead a team? Camp W is seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and organized Kiddie Camp Division Director for Summer 2027!
This hands-on leadership position is an opportunity to help our youngest campers feel safe, build friendships, gain confidence, and enjoy a wonderful summer.
Our ideal candidate:
• Must be a teacher; previous summer camp experience is strongly preferred.
• Is friendly, approachable, energetic, and passionate about working with young children.
• Has strong leadership skills and can guide, support, and motivate counselors.
• Is proactive, dependable, highly organized, and attentive to details.
• Communicates professionally and warmly with parents, campers, and staff.
• Uses sound judgment, handles challenges calmly, and makes camper safety a priority.
Responsibilities include overseeing the division’s daily activities and transitions, supporting staff, helping campers adjust to camp, addressing parent questions, and working closely with the Camp W administrative team.
📅 COMMITMENT:
• Available for the entire summer.
• Summer hours: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Attend one meeting per month during the off-season with fellow camp administrative team members.
