The objective of the Parks & Recreation Department is to oversee and maintain all the campgrounds on the Mescalero Apache Reservation - Silver Lake, Mescalero Cabins and Eagle Creek.

Good afternoon, friends!
We are open for camping at Silver Lake Campground. Located on 868 Hwy 244 Mescalero, N.M. We offer Tent camping, and RV Camping (full hookup) and our Silver Store is fully stocked.

There are currently no restrictions on campfires or charcoal, so come visit and spend some time with us for the holiday weekend Forth of July 2025.

The lake itself is currently closed until further notice.

Good afternoon, Family & Friends

Mescalero Campground Silver Lake is Open for Business for Camping only, however, the lake itself is closed due to safety concerns. We are currently exploring options to repair the lake. We are currently under extreme fire danger, Gas Grill only, no open fires or charcoal grills until further notice! No Personal Porta Potties, if any campers are found using these, we will implement a $50.00 fine, no exceptions. With the Forth of July Holiday coming up, we hope to see you there. It is first come, first serve. No reservations needed.

🪵 Camp fires are allowed ONLY FROM 6PM-10PM but DEPENDING ON WEATHER
🎧 Absolutely NO LOUD MUSIC AFTER 10AM

Hello Campers! It was good to see everyone for the 2023 Season. As of 9/5/23, Silver Lake, Mescalero Cabins & Eagle Creek are CLOSED for the year. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed the great out doors with us, happy trails!
