Originally built for the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair, the Cypress Log Cabin now sits tucked within Indiana Dunes National Park as one of the most unique stays along Lake Michigan.

After the fair, the cabin was carefully relocated to Indiana Dunes National Park. While some of the Century of Progress homes were brought across Lake Michigan by barge, the Cypress Log Cabin was transported around the lake and pulled up the dunes by Clydesdale horses.

At the fair, it had a completely different feel, designed to resemble a mountain lodge with carved details and unique features throughout. While some those elements didn’t make the move to Indiana, the character of the home still stands today. Today, it offers a rare chance for guests to stay in a piece of history.

We’re hiring for seasonal housekeeping and maintenance roles. If you’re looking for steady summer work by the lake, this is a great opportunity. Open interview dates are listed below in the flyer. Seasonal roles start at $15/hr.
