A look back at the Cypress Log Cabin finding its home in the dunes.
Originally built for the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair, the cabin was later transported around Lake Michigan to the Indiana Dunes. Once it arrived, Clydesdale horses helped pull the home up the dunes to the site where it still stands today, now within Indiana Dunes National Park.
More than 90 years later, this piece of history is still standing along the Lake Michigan shoreline and, for the first time, guests can experience it with an overnight stay.
