Our three-course prix fixe begins with spring rolls, followed by tuna loin with rice and slaw, and finishes with green tea ice cream. $55 per person. Our regular dinner menu is also available. Jessica Swift was not exactly living a small life. She was married to Charles M. Swift, the Middlebury-born entrepreneur who founded Meralco, the Manila Electric Company, in the Philippines. Together, they traveled the world by yacht, moved through international circles, and kept a grand mansion on Lake Champlain. And then there was this house. What is now Swift House Inn was their country house in Middlebury — a quieter place, close to family, local history, and the town that shaped the Swift name. Room 24 is one of the places where that story still feels close: Vermont roots, global reach, and a house that has always held more than one chapter. Come stay where the story continues.
