Ocqueoc Lake, spanning 132 acres of peaceful no-wake waters, offers great recreational opportunities and runs along the western edge of the property. Popular activities around the lake include kayaking, canoeing, and fishing.
For those who also want to enjoy the larger lake, public beach access to Lake Huron is only a 14-mile drive from the Outdoor Center.
With plenty to enjoy on-site at the Outdoor Center, it is complemented by the many points of interest and hidden gems that surround it.

This weekend, our first renters of the year consisted of a group of sky gazers/astronomers.
The Outdoor center offers an ideal setting for viewing the stars, unhindered by light pollution.

Beyond events, the camp is a perfect location to rent for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and want to simply view the night sky, go kayaking or canoeing, or relax in the sights and sounds of nature.

If an organized/informational stargazing event sounds more appealing, we will also be hosting a public stargazing party this fall, September 11-13.

Pictured: a photo of the night sky at the Ocqueoc Outdoor Center taken at last year's stargazing party.
