It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing the closing of the Sand Ridge B and B. It has been a wonderful seven years, filled with delightful, interesting guests, many of whom are now treasured friends. Many of my guests are OU parents and meeting their kids has been a special treat.

I am looking forward to a second retirement and a chance to travel, Italy coming up in June. The last weekend will be OU graduation,
the last weekend in April. That and Mom's Weekend are booked, but I'll be in business until the end of April 2016.

Botanical Art Workshop

Last weekend was the 4th Annual Botanical Art Workshop, with botanical artist, Barb Holmer, here from Flint, Michigan. We are always blessed with good weather, wonderful students and inspiring instruction by Barb.

Sand Ridge B and B has a new egg supplier: Jenkinson Farm and Garden. Judy Jenkinson has Arcuna, Marans, and Red Island Reds and sells their beautiful, colorful eggs all mixed in a carton at the Athens Farmers Market. Happy Easter everyone!

The Paw Paw Festival bigger than ever this year; by Saturday night 6,000 had attended. On Sunday, I got to speak at the Pollinator/
Butterfly Tent on my favorite subject, the native garden.

August 8th and 9th was the Botanical Sketchbook with Mixed Media workshop and luncheon. Barb Holmer came from Flint, Michigan, to teac graphite, colored pencil and watercolor skills. This was the third year of this event and we are already talking about next year.
