An update for our Rest Yourself River Ranch community.

We continue to be incredibly grateful that the ranch is safe.

As the Ross Fire continues to impact Palo Pinto County and has now moved into Jack County, our hearts and prayers remain with every family, ranch, animal, first responder, firefighter, volunteer, and community affected.

We know many of our brides, guests, and friends have been concerned and have reached out to check on us. Thank you for thinking of the ranch and for keeping this area in your prayers.

We will continue to share official local updates as they become available.

Please continue to pray for Palo Pinto County, Jack County, and everyone working tirelessly to bring the Ross Fire under control.

Sharing the latest update from the City of Mineral Wells. Please continue to keep Palo Pinto County in your prayers!

LOCAL IMPACT UPDATE: ROSS FIRE
As of 9 a.m. this morning, August 26, the Ross fire in Palo Pinto County is at 80,000 acres with 12 percent containment per the Texas A&M Forestry Service. The fire did grow overnight on the northwest side away from the city.
Mineral Wells Fire Chief Ryan Dunn is on the scene of the fire and reports there is no imminent danger to Mineral Wells. Our primary local impact is the smoke from the fire. Individuals who are sensitive to smoke or have pre-existing respiratory conditions may want to limit outdoor activity during this incident. Please check on neighbors who may be at risk, including the elderly, families with small children, outdoor pets and those with chronic health issues.
Should the fire become an imminent danger to the city, National Weather Service will activate the Wireless Emergency Alert System that sends a message to cellphones and the city’s emergency management team will activate the outdoor warning sirens.
