OUR HOME IS STILL STANDING 🌀🌀

We made it through the worst part and now the clean up begins! The amount of prayers and outpouring of love, along with offers to come clean and repair, have been unbelievable. Your prayers are what kept our home still standing and repairable.

For those still asking, the eye went right over us just a few miles to the end of road and our cameras were rolling as the first waters began to cross the dunes. Unfortunately, just as the water broke over and crossed onto the deck and surge inside, we lost all power. No longer able to see what was happening we worried throughout night. Early yesterday, our dear friends were able to access house and survey for us. We have packed up and are now there to begin the cleanup and repairs.

Keep the prayers coming as we work to get Pirates Perch back to what everyone loves. We love each of you and consider you family.

THANK YOU seems inadequate at this time. The amount of texts, phone calls, emails, messages we have received from all our friends and extended Pirate family is humbling. Each and every message has you praying for our safety and our home that many of you love as much as we do. Keep sending those prayers and pray specifically that the storm surge will not be as much as predicted. The storm surge is the biggest issue right now as close as we sit to the water and not so much the winds.

We’ll keep you posted as the storm rolls in and cameras continue to operate. Here is a snapshot at 11:08 CST.

Well…..the season has come to an end and fall is right around the corner. We have tucked away this summer’s memories just as Labor Day tucked away the summer.

It’s now time to completely shift gears and welcome our fall friends who spend multiple weeks with us, enjoy fall football beachside, and ring our sunset bell at the end of the day.

To our summer guests, thank you for making memories with us and to our fall guests, we can’t wait to see you again!

As many of our Pirates know, the inspiration behind Pirates Perch came from the lifestyle of Jimmy Buffett. We wanted our family and friends to be able to come and leave their worries behind, if just a moment, and enjoy the beauty of salty air and water. It was meant to be a place to make memories and live carefree. And we feel we have succeeded.

Sadly we lost the greatest inspiration, the one and only JB, 3 years ago today and for many the lights dimmed for just a moment. Because…..we were reminded to carry on where he left off.

So in true JB fashion, today, we’ll anchor where the ocean ends and pick up where he left off and as the sun goes down we’ll raise our drinks and carry on in pirate fashion.

Who is ready to see summer go?
Not us!!!! And hopefully our beach loving friends aren’t either!

We had a last minute cancellation and have an opening starting August 24th. If you’re interested in booking at a very reduced rate send us a message or give us a call. These last days of summer rates won’t last long. The weather is perfect, the water straight out of a chamber of commerce advertisement, and no crowds at all. This is what locals call the perfect time of year!
