With a change in the weather approaching, the squash crop needed to be harvested. This incredible crew did just that in a day. Some squash varieties are available now and some need to cure before they are ready. Amazing accomplishment!

The Fall Season has officially arrived at Benson’s Farm! Plus, we still have sweet corn for another week. We’re open 9-6 weekdays and 9-5 weekends through October.

Some of our hot peppers had a rather slow start this year. However, some have outdone themselves. A quarter-pound jalapeño!

Benson’s Farm features fresh produce from our fields and is open every day through the end of October, 9-6 M-F and 9-5 S-S.

Benson’s Farm adds to the varieties of the daily freshly-picked produce! Check out the onions! We currently have (clockwise from the top) Walla Wallas, “Ambition Shallots, Gold Coin, Red Coin, Yellow, Alisa Craig and White Onions (in the center). Crème Brûlée Shallots and Red Onions are drying, but close.

We’re open every day through the end of October, 9-6 Monday-Friday and 9-5 Saturday-Sunday

Benson's Farm Summer Harvest begins Tuesday, August 18! We'll start with sweet corn, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, shallots, white onions and cabbage and then add whatever is ripe and ready that day. Apples won't be available until late September, however.

We're open Monday through Friday 9 to 6 and Saturday and Sunday 9 to 5 through October.

Benson’s Farm update: It looks like it will be another couple of weeks until the sweet corn is ready, probably after August 17th. Look forward to seeing everyone again!

BENSON’S FARM UPDATE:
July 1 is our last sales day for plants, planters, hanging baskets, succulents and vegetable starts until mid-August. We’ll reopen when the sweet corn is ready and we’ll offer a selection of freshly-picked vegetables from our fields.

We’re open June 25 through July 1.
9-6 Monday-Friday
9-5 Saturday and Sunday

During the past two weeks, it's been very gratifying to realize that Benson's Farm is more than just a place to buy plants, container gardens, baskets and vegetable starts. It has been a gathering place and a part of the community for over 125 years.

People rendezvoused from various towns to check what's available.
People reminisced about Anne and Otto transplanting.
Laughing children splashed in mud puddles.
People chatted about not seeing each other since their kids played soccer together.
People were understanding when we were a few minutes late opening the gate.
People were willing to walk a ways when the main parking lot was full.
Condolences were given to one who had recently lost a spouse.
People shopped for those who can no longer get out.
Families came for an outing.

We appreciate it all! And, a special thank you to an incredible crew who keeps us going.
