Reed Problem
The pond on the north side of the property (Last Hurrah) has grown reeds like nobody's business. The roots link together in the soil and it's almost impossible to pull just one out. The others won't let go. The only possibility that I'm aware of is to drain the pond and kill all the fish and frogs. It's also the resting place for the red winged blackbirds and cow birds.

When I went back to pick up Kobae in San Diego. Jax and I hiked through one of the canyons and came to Dishwasher Pond in Tierrasanta. There was a groundskeeper from the City of San Diego there. I ask him if he knew how to get rid of the reeds. He said "You can't."

I found a picture of the pond next door when it was created 20 something years ago.

Evolve
I added a booking site called Evolve. They sent a photographer out, not happy with the pictures I put on AIRBNB and VRBO. She was very detailed. The picture I enjoy the most is this one with Jax and Kobae both sleeping on the front porch of the lodge.

The Too Much Fun Disc Golf Tournament
Two days. 64 holes. 128 Competitors, and 200 people.

Jax and I climbed up on to Hole 14 of the Hayduke Course and it's disc golfers as far as you can see in each direction.

The Property
Jax and I wake up each morning, go out and sit in the porch chairs and I say "Jax, look where we live." It's incredible and I still think that way in year 20.

Kobae

End of February Jax and I drove to San Diego to pick up Kobae for his return to Base Camp. To keep Kobae out of trouble and with his dislike of dogs Jax and I hiked down the sidewalks of Tierrasanta in San Diego and Kobae followed.

Family went to a San Diego Sockers game and ran into Cowboy who's been going to the games for thirty or forty years. Ray Weber was there also. In the days of running San Diego Indoor Soccer we would build what we called Striker teams which is a bunch of individuals that wanted to play and we would build a team out of them. Ray took an over 30 men's team and kept them together with 8 game seasons for about a thousand games as I recall.

Then it was time to load Kobae in the truck and head back to Moab. We built a ramp, then put Jax in the truck. Kobae went up the ramp to get Jax and I had Jax jump out so he didn't get pinned in the back seat and Kobae promptly changed his mind and turned around to get out of the truck and Ze had to lift him up and push him in.

First Snow
We got our first snow in a couple of years. I mean we had five snows last year but they were all gone by noon. This one was gone the next day except on north facing slopes.
