Moclips, WA has an historic past as the major beachfront relaxation spot for people from Washington State. 100 years ago, aided by the completion of the trainline from Seattle, up to 5000 a weekend came to visit to enjoy the sea breeze, beachwalking and the scenic coast. With massive storms in 1913, parts of the town were washed away. Moclips demise as a vacation destination came mid century, whe
n the train line was cancelled and visitors stopped coming. In the last 10 years, Moclips has undergone a resurgence. Many new houses are being built right up on the dunes, bringing unparalled access to the ocean. This has allowed building plots, that were grandfathered in for building, to be built, but today they have to be built up on pilings which adds to the view. With views from Point Grenville down to Ocean Shores and the estuary of the Moclips river, the panorama is both spectacular and calming. Whether you enjoy storm watching, beach walks, beach combing and simple taking in the sea air, we are ideally placed being, as well, only 30 mins drive to Lake Quinault.
