Feeding the carp at Bridgewater Marina & Boat Rentals is a tradition almost as old as the lake itself. The marina keeps plain popcorn on hand just for this. The carp can live 10 to 20 years, so some of the ones showing up today have likely been doing this a while.

If you’ve never chased down The Ice Cream Boat now’s the time! You’ll usually hear it before you see it — it plays a little tune as it comes around. Grab something bright to wave (a swim noodle works) and it’ll pull right up to the dock.
