🐾 Looking for the perfect place to let your pup splash, swim, and burn off some energy around the White Lake area? Here are a few local favorites for dog-loving beachgoers:

🐕Medbury Park (Montague) - Located on the White Lake channel leading to Lake Michigan, Medbury Park offers a scenic stretch of shoreline where you can watch boats heading out to the big lake, walk to the old lighthouse, or just relax. The park is dog-friendly, with bathrooms and benches along the channel walk.

🌊Meinert Park (North of Montague) - Meinert Park is about 2 miles north of Montague and features a large Lake Michigan beach with sugar sand shores. While most of the beach is open to dogs, leashed dogs are only allowed in the designated dog area on the north end of the beach.

🏖️Kruse Park Dog Beach (Muskegon) – Just a short drive from White Lake, this Lake Michigan favorite offers a dedicated dog-friendly beach where pups can swim and socialize. Many Michigan dog owners consider it one of the best dog beaches in the region.

Hop on the Hart-Montague Trail — Michigan's first linear state park — and cruise past the ArtWalk outdoor sculptures along the way. Don't forget to get your photo with the World's Largest Weathervane. Yes, it's real. Yes, it's massive. 📸

🌅 AFTERNOON
Browse the local shops and boutiques downtown like Figgs Boutique or COLBYS Hokey Pokey Downtown Whitehall for Michigan-made gifts and one-of-a-kind finds.

We love our four-legged guests! They have a special place on our lakeview balconies 😉

"This is the first time we have stayed away from home with our 13-month-old Labrador. He was welcomed with a couple of biscuits (on the front desk). There is a dog area with provided bags and a trash basket to dispose of it. The room was good size, and the attached balcony was nice. The staff was friendly. We will be returning when we have time to spend a few days."

Peanut Butter Overload🥜🍫: A peanut butter and peanut butter cup shake. In a Reese’s and Reeces Pieces rimmed cup. Topped with a peanut butter cup, nutty bar, nutter butter cookie, whipped cream, and of course more peanut butter!

🍩 Happy National Donut Day! 🍩

Fun fact: National Donut Day has been around since 1938, created to honor the incredible "Donut Lassies" — Salvation Army volunteers who fried up donuts for American soldiers on the front lines of WWI. Sometimes in helmets. Yes, helmets. 🪖
