Before Montauk became what it is today, it was a hidden gem and nature lover's paradise. Three generations of Daunts have been welcoming guests to Montauk since 1977. Nestled between the beach and downtown, we know the best places to watch the sunset, where to paddle out or where to soak up the sun, the friendliest bartenders in town, and the ice cream spot the kids will love. The newly designed hotel, cafe and outdoor spaces are a thread connecting past and present - and a welcoming home base for exploring the hidden side of Montauk. Embrace a slower pace and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you the way Montauk was meant to be experienced. Guests of Daunt's are treated like friends of the family. You're free to do as you wish, and we'll be here to take care of anything you need. Lounge by the saltwater swimming pool or walk 100 feet to the ocean. Gather friends and family for an outdoor BBQ or enjoy a meal in our cafe. Take a long bike ride or head out for a hike.
