Outdoor Adventure Kids is back in full swing! Centerville Middle School's 8th grade enjoyed their outdoor classroom day at Pearson Gap! This year, we created concept days that highlight Oakmulgee’s management fields. Thursday, our curriculum was focused on timber management. Each subject's lesson/activity (English, science, history, math, and career development) were all centered around timber management. Up next is wildlife! And as always, a special thank you to our wonderful volunteers and educators that make our projects (worlds) go round. We couldn’t do this without you!!! Happy Friday y’all!

All of central Alabama is under a winter weather advisory until 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to the weather service in Birmingham.

Be careful out there guys! Not only is Alabama expected to get several inches of snow throughout the day, temperatures are expected to drop into the 20s tonight.

Stay off the roads, stay warm, and stay safe!

Snow possible all the way to the Gulf Coast, forecasters say.

Happy New Year from all of us here on the district! We are all super excited about the things we have planned! We are currently seeking volunteers for a couple of upcoming opportunities we have like our Martin Luther King Day of Service, and we are looking to put together a volunteer led crew to help keep some of our more frequented recreation sites beautiful and clean! There are lots of ways to get involved so call us, send a message, email us, or just come on by the office to let us know your interested and we can point you in the right direction.

The weather outside is (kinda) cold, but Oakmulgee is blazing into 2018! Happy trails, everyone!
