You may recognize this pretty lady from our logo… this is Sadie. She passed right around this time last year, at the ripe old age of 15 or 16. Sadie came into our lives only three years before her passing. We thought she was a hospice rescue. That we would only be caring for her for, what we were told was days or weeks. She supposedly had kidney failure & her family was moving and she “wouldn’t even make the drive.”
Funnily enough, our vet visits repeatedly said she did not have kidney failure & was incredibly healthy for her age. She came on every cross country road trip we ever took while having her in our life. And loved the adventures 🥰. She was our diamond in the rough. Sadie was loyal to a fault & a real beauty queen with a silly streak. We only knew her in her golden years, but often imagined what she would have been like as a wild pup.
Anyway, I share this to honor the girl who I dedicated this Inn & business to when I took it over last year. Animals and animal rescue specifically are a big part of our life & if ya’ll didn’t know already, in Sadie’s honor, we donate a part of all annual profits to local animal rescues 💕 Thanks for reading about miss Sadie & a little more of our story, if you made it this far!
