Education: I ask ALL of my customers for a photo of their drivers license because it is legal documentation for me incase my property (rental items) gets stolen, lost, or damaged.
Anyone can create a fake Facebook or Venmo account for me to give them thousands of dollars worth of items. A simple 30 chair, 6 table delivery cost me over $1,000, of which I’m hand delivering to people for a tenth of that.
Example: if I deliver to a park, and I show up to pick up my items and they’re not there, what do I do? I have the license of my customer and a signed contract of which I can report to the police for a smooth litigation process.
If anyone has a better way for me to do this I’m all ears, I sadly had a customer decline business with me because I asked for ID.
