📅 August 2 – August 7

🚨 ATTENTION, SHARK TOOTH HUNTERS! The next several days look unsettled, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected across the Grand Strand. Don’t let the forecast keep you home—summer storms often uncover fresh shell beds and wash new fossils onto the beach. Expect periods of rain with pop-up thunderstorms, especially during the afternoons. Always leave the beach immediately if you hear thunder or see lightning.

🎯 CSTC PRO TIP:
🌧️ DON’T FORGET TO HUNT THE DRY BEDS AFTER IT RAINS!
Rain can wash away loose sand and expose shark teeth that were hidden just hours before. Some of the best finds happen right after a good downpour!

⏰ BEST HUNTING WINDOW EACH DAY:
✅ 3–4 hours BEFORE high tide
✅ 3–4 hours AFTER high tide

That incoming and outgoing tide window continues to be one of the most productive times to search the Grand Strand🌊🦈

Salute to America is a march that honors all current and former military members, as well as the United States of America.

The march will begin at 11 AM on the beach and concludes with a ceremony at the Horseshoe at 1 PM, following the Salute From The Shore Flyover.

Respectfully… this is not that.

This is a South Carolina snow weekend. Our roads do not get salted like fries or like a Taylor Swift breakup song gets played on repeat.

Bridges freeze first. Back roads turn into surprise ice rinks. And your lifted truck, all wheel drive, or country boy confidence does not cancel physics.

🚫 This is not the weekend for errands, joyrides, or riding around to “see how bad it is.”
🚫 This is not a snow day side quest or a driving skills audition.
📺 This is a stay home, wear flannel, rewatch comfort shows, and mind your business kind of storm.

If you learned to drive in snow up north, we love that for you. Truly. But the infrastructure is different here, and the laws of gravity still apply.

Bring pets inside. Stay warm safely. Let first responders do their jobs without extra traffic.
Main character energy is great.
Staying home is better.
