We’re honored to see NewsChannel 5 Nashville spotlight the powerful history that lives right here at The Hermitage Hotel.

As Suffs takes the stage at Tennessee Performing Arts Center during Women’s History Month, it’s a reminder that history happened here.

In 1920, our halls served as the command post for both sides of the “War of Roses” — where yellow roses signaled support for suffrage and red roses marked opposition. Strategy meetings, spirited debates, and history-making decisions all happened within these walls.
