A couple of weeks ago, wade fishing paid off as rains made the lower half of the Quality Waters murky. Guide John got guests into their waders and onto some solid fish near the dam, where the water was still flowing clear. Conditions can change quickly, but our guides know how to catch fish in just about all of them.

The ol' Juan looking great earlier this month. Later this week, we'll post some recent fall pics. The leaves have peaked and the daytime weather has been pretty great.

Fresh air, beautiful mountains, and trophy trout in abundance. Fisheads is looking for a dependable, hospitable person to help with the front desk of our lodge and fly shop. On really busy days, this person may also help the restaurant staff serve guests. Experience with fly fishing is preferred but not required. There's potential to grow into a guiding role if interested. Great way to start a mountain town life.

First-timer? Not a problem. Our guest fished with Guide Matt and was into fish right away. We absolutely welcome first-timers and often watch them out-fish the "expert" who brought them.

Didn't notice the osprey nests when you last joined us at the lodge? Good! You should be watching your flies for the fish's take 😂

These amazing hunters can be seen most days, and just once in a while, you get the privilege of seeing them pluck a trout from the river.

We've been loving the cloudy weather! Temps have been great, and we've seen some strong hatches on days like these. This couple bagged these nice ones while out with guide Matt.

Not the type of catch and release we intended! Guide Matt had a swallow swoop into the fly line while guiding. The bird got tangled, but they were able to free it and release it unharmed.
