Salty Breezes is located on the 8th floor of the Navarre Beach Regency. Purchased in 2023,the floor to ceiling renovations are complete and we are excited to welcome guests looking for a beachfront home away from home! Everything in this unit is brand new – appliances, flooring, furniture and all of the amenities! The Navarre Beach Regency is the hidden gem of the Emerald Coast with its large 1522 square feet units, 9 foot ceilings, wall to wall glass sliding doors and large private balconies. The Regency boasts of 400 feet of beach frontage in this low density 9 story condominium building. From day one of our renovations our goal was to provide you with everything you will need for a comfortable and relaxing beachfront vacation. Just pack your suitcase and come on down! – we are pretty sure we already have everything else you need. Look for the helpers !!!
Whenever tragedy strikes, there are always those who show up to help. One of those places was the Destiny Worship Center Navarre.
As I headed out of town I stopped and dropped off all the water and cleaning supplies that we had not needed. It was awesome to see the smiling faces of all of the volunteers and the relieved looks on the faces of the dozen or more cars that were in line waiting for some help.

Navarre Beach now has more beach and Tidal Pools courtesy of Hurricane Isaias. While these may not last it is nice to see.
We are back open at Salty Breezes with our next guests due in a couple days. There are still some dates left in October and November.

The latest pictures coming in from our friends who reside on the first floor.
The communication among The Regency owners has been VERY positive!
We are all feeling so relieved and grateful!

** Proof of residency may be required to access the island from the causeway bridge. This would require a residence pass or copy of mortgage, electric bill, HOA bill, etc along with a valid driver's license.

Tim is loading the car and will be leaving Cincinnati this evening to head down.
We just received an update on our unit:
No electricity
No water
The new sliding doors held up! 🎉🥳!
No water intrusion anywhere in the condo! Pig socks saved the day!
The Regency elevators are still off until inspections take place.
The reported Regency damage as of now is landscaping (it was ugly anyway 😂).
The blowout windows on the garage level BLEW OUT like they are designed to do.
Some other units had water damage...reports have been minor intrusion mostly through the front door.

Our concern right now is our new HVAC unit. The outside unit is attached to the roof. Owners are NOT allowed to be on the roof...we will know better when electricity is restored and roof inspection has been completed.

All in all we are very relieved and grateful for the outcome. We are blessed to have great Regency neighbors that look out for each other and most importantly we purchased a condo in a concrete tank!

The Regency may not be the most appealing from the outside...but like we were all raised to believe beauty is from within...in our case that beauty is made of concrete, steel rebar and the most EXPENSIVE, HEAVY pain in the butt to clean Hurricane Sliding doors on the beach! (I do NOT want to ever have to go through the sliding door replacement project again 😂!)

Please say a quick prayer Tim safely makes it to the beach without me to tell him to slow down, not follow cars too closely, watch for deer and to only stop for a Bucees bathrooms... 😜

All reports from Navarre Beach Regency are very good. Minimal damage or flooding.

Our first visit to Navarre Beach was during Hurricane Sally in 2020.
The storm took an unexpected turn and we were caught by surprise!

There was no evacuation notice, no information or protocol for tourists and no preparations took place.

When Tim and I finally realized what was happening it was too late the bridge was closed and we were shut off from the mainland.

I will admit it was frightening!
Sally came in fast and hung over our area for a LONG time! The waves were crashing 15-20 feet over the pier, the noise was endless (sounded like a jet plane and train whistles), we struggled to keep up with water intrusion on the 9th floor of Summerwind, the toilet bowl water was moving back and forth, empty bathroom drawers were opening and closing from the change in pressure, Tim couldn't keep up with wet towels and I was busy trying to relax with my sleeping pills while worrying about running out of Diet Coke and chocolate 😉!

Today as I sit glued to the weather channel and scrolling my phone for any information I come to the realization that 6 years later as an owner that maybe it is time for a lake home instead 😂!

Sally was originally rated as a Cat 1 Hurricane after the storm passed they updated Sally to a Cat 2 Hurricane.

Hurricane Isaias is expected to make landfall as a Cat 3+ with a surge of 7-9 feet. Navarre is in the center of the cone and in the direct line of the eye.
I will continue to monitor the Hurricane and hope for the best.

Tim and I are preparing to head down to Navarre to access damages and begin the process of cleanup once the storm passes.

I will try to give updates when we get down there to keep you informed of the condition of the island.
