Meadows Inn The Meadows Inn offers seven spacious, newly updated Suites. Each with private bath. Plus, "The Bern Bear Suite" has two bedrooms and one bathroom.

The Meadows Inn is located in historic, downtown New Bern within walking distance to waterfront, conferences, galleries, shops and restaurants. Originally built as a private residence in 1847, this historic home opened its doors in 1980 as the first Bed & Breakfast in New Bern, NC.

So you might be wondering… how did The Meadows become an Inn?

In 1980, this beautiful circa 1847 home, originally built by John Alexander Meadows, was transformed into New Bern’s very first bed and breakfast. Filled with history, charm, and stories from generations past, The Meadows has welcomed guests through its doors for over four decades.

From a historic family home to a place where memories are still being made every day, we are so proud to continue sharing this special piece of New Bern history with all of you. ❤️

This beautiful Inn, filled with history, charm, and so many wonderful memories, first opened its doors 46 years ago today. Over the years, it has welcomed countless guests, celebrations, friendships, and unforgettable moments.
