Fall Camping Tip: Check the forecast the night before you head out! Fall weather can shift fast, so pack rain gear just in case — and don't forget a tarp for extra cover over your site.

There's something about the crunch of leaves underfoot and the crisp morning air that just resets the mind. Fall camping reminds us to slow down, breathe deep, and soak in the season before it's gone. What's your favorite part of camping in autumn?

Nothing beats a good foil packet meal after a day at the campground! Just toss in:
Sliced sausage (kielbasa is our favorite)
Baby potatoes, halved
Bell peppers & onion, chunked
A drizzle of olive oil + garlic powder, salt & pepper
Seal it up, throw it on the fire grate or coals for 20-25 minutes, and dinner is served — straight from the fire to your plate. No pots, no pans, no cleanup.

Who's trying this on their next stay at Friendly Beaver? Tag us in your foil packet creations!

Swapping stories by the fire.
Cozying up with a blanket as the temps drop.
Falling asleep to the sound of crickets and rustling leaves.
Waking up to crisp mornings and coffee steam curling into the cold air.

This is the season we look forward to all year.
