It’s hard to believe that only a few years ago, Petite Acres existed purely as an idea.

What started as conversations around the kind of spaces we wished existed slowly turned into a vision for something more intentional. A place where people could gather, slow down, celebrate, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together. As we prepare to officially open tomorrow, it’s surreal to walk these paths and see our vision come to life.

From the rooms and shared spaces to the landscaping and quiet moments in between, every part of Petite Acres has been created with connection in mind. We wanted this property to feel welcoming, thoughtful, and rooted in community from the very beginning.

More than anything, we hope people feel at ease here. That they feel inspired to linger a little longer, gather a little closer, and create meaningful memories with the people around them.

Petite Acres has always been about creating spaces where people can come together, and now we have the opportunity to expand that impact even further.

We’ve been selected for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Public Spaces Community Places program, a crowdfunding initiative that supports projects designed to bring people together in meaningful ways.

Here’s how it works:
If we raise $7,500 through crowdfunding, the program will match it, unlocking funding to support free, community-centered programming at Petite Acres.

With the support of the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce, this means more opportunities to gather on the property, from open fitness classes with and lawn events to experiences designed to make connection more accessible to everyone.

We have 60 days to unlock $15,000 for community programming at Petite Acres!

Here's how it works:
We've been selected for Michigan's Public Spaces Community Places program through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation in partnership with Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber Foundation. If our community raises $7,500, MEDC will match it with another $7,500.

That means every dollar donated doubles.

But there's a catch: we have just 60 days to reach our goal.
If we succeed, we'll be able to fund free community programming including:
✨ Weekly fitness classes with Prana/Life
✨ Monthly family movie nights
✨ Quarterly networking breakfasts with the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce

A closer look at some of the beautiful details coming together for our Wedding Planner event on June 3!

From custom paper goods inspired by the French countryside to seed packets designed to help grow the property’s wildflowers, every element has been thoughtfully created to reflect the charm and story behind Petite Acres. We especially love seeing touches of the property’s wallpaper woven throughout the stationery details, a subtle nod to the spaces and atmosphere we’re creating here.

At Petite Acres, we’re in the final stretch before Opening Weekend on June 4. The paths are being finished, the spaces are getting their final touches, and the vision we’ve been holding onto is starting to feel very real in front of us.

It’s a mix of anticipation and gratitude as we get closer to welcoming our first guests and officially opening the doors to this amazing community!

We’re Jeana and Justin, the co-founders behind Petite Acres. What began as a simple idea and a piece of land we fell in love with has grown into something much more: a space designed for gathering, celebrating, and spending meaningful time together.

Every corner of Petite Acres has been shaped with intention, inspired by our backgrounds in hospitality, building meaningful organizations, events, and design, and our shared love for bringing people together.

So much has changed across the property this month, and we can’t wait to welcome you on June 4.

Throughout all 4.25 acres, the final details are falling into place, including this beautiful fireplace installation, which is sure to become the heart of the room. Sourced from an 18th-century French château in the countryside, it brings warmth, texture, and a sense of timeless character to the space.

A pretty exciting week over here at Petite Acres! New plants have been planted, fresh grass is finally down on our Great Lawn, and gravel is in for the walking paths. Little by little, the vision is starting to come to life.

We keep imagining all the memories that will be made here soon, and we truly can’t wait. And speaking of the Great Lawn… join us on Saturday, June 6 at 9:30 AM for complimentary yoga with . Hey neighbors, Saturday, June 6 is for you.

Join us for opening weekend and spend the day enjoying everything the property has to offer, starting with morning yoga and continuing into an afternoon of BBQ, lawn games, landscaping tours, and family-friendly activities.

With food trucks, face painting, a DIY flower crown bar, and more, it’s a day designed to gather, explore, and celebrate together. Dinner will be served in the evening to close out the day. Get tickets at the link in our bio!

This is Oak Studio today, our 1,400 square foot gym with a sauna and cold plunge outside her doors. Picture it as a strength and conditioning paradise where you can push a sled, get in a good rowing session, or roll out a mat for a yoga session.

But right now, we’re fixated on …

The light.
The height.
The way the trees feel like part of the architecture.
And the sound of music moving through the space, (we love a sound system) setting the mood for every stretch, every lift, every deep breath.

Soon this room will hold early-morning movement, quiet stretching, deep breaths, laughter between sets, and the kind of stillness you only find when you’re surrounded by nature and nothing else is asking for your attention.

It’s where retreats begin their mornings.
Where friends will find grounding on their biggest days.
Where time slows down just enough.

We’re already dreaming about working out in what we’re calling a treehouse gym. ✨
