FALL WORK DAY AT SUMMIT GROVE!
Many Hands Make Light Work… and We’ve Got PLENTY of Work!
It’s that time of year again! The leaves are falling, the temperatures are dropping, and Summit Grove is getting ready to tuck in for the winter.
Unfortunately, our buildings, equipment, and picnic tables haven’t figured out how to put themselves away. (We’ve asked. They’re not cooperating.)
That’s where YOU come in!
Saturday, November 14 | 8:00 AM–12:30
We’re gathering volunteers for our annual Fall Work Day, and we’d be grateful for a few hours of your time. There’s something for everyone!
Close up the Dining Hall Kitchen
Power wash and clean trash receptacles and kitchen floor mats
Deep clean and winterize grills
Prepare the Tabernacle for winter
Clean rain gutters
Cover outdoor AC units
Hang and replace string lights
Winterize the Upper Activity Field
Gather picnic tables into the pavilions
Move Snack Shack supplies to the Lodge Kitchen
AND NOW FOR THE BEST PART… LUNCH!
Genesis and Ellen will treat our hardworking volunteers to a delicious lunch at 12:45 PM in the Lodge Conference Room! Coffee, hot tea, and hot chocolate will be available throughout the morning.
Come for the fellowship, stay for the food, and help us get Summit Grove ready for its winter rest. Every helping hand makes a difference!
