“This is a brilliant property created by someone with an innate sense of style. The accommodations are beautiful and the property sublime. The owners have obviously poured a lot of love into creating a uniquely Louisiana experience which is very much appreciated. Acknowledgement of our request to stay was immediate and was followed by careful instructions for finding the place along with a promise to help with any needs. However, the place has been prepared with such care that there's nothing needed. Since Louisiana in August can be a bit warm, we've spent most of our stay on the screened-in back porch watching the bayou under the cool breeze of ceiling fans. It's quiet, peaceful, relaxing and absolutely exceeds our expectations. This morning we watched the sun rise from the porch while enjoying coffee and listening to a light rain on the tin roof. Very, very well done.”

Mardi Gras is right around the corner. Come celebrate with us! We are centrally located between two of the largest areas that celebrate Carnival. Lafayette Louisiana is only 30 minutes and New Orleans is only 90 minutes from Olive Branch Cottages. If you’ve never experienced Mardi Gras or you are a seasoned visitor and come every year, we would invite you, your friends, and family to stay with us! Laissez les bon temps rouler is a Cajun expression often heard in these parts, meaning “let the good times roll” and conveys our “joie de vivre” (“joy of living”), and Mardi Gras certainly does that! A bientôt, j'espère (hope to see you soon).

Our latest guests traveled from 3 different states to come to the Gumbo Cook Off. They enjoyed wonderful food and beautiful weather sitting on the banks of the Bayou Teche here at Olive Branch. Invite your friends and family and come stay with us. It’s so lovely this time of year!!!
