Are you sad we didn’t see Aurora back on Thursday night? Well we are too. But fear not! ANOTHER solar storm is headed our direction thanks to a solar flare which released charged particles off the sun earlier this morning. This solar storm is faster, estimated to arrive tomorrow (Sunday) night. Estimated arrival is between 10pm and 2am based on solar imagery and space models, but is of course subject to change as space weather is VERY hard to pinpoint.
The expected strength of this solar storm (assuming all goes to plan) is G3, which means all of Michigan may have a chance to see Aurora - pending cloud cover of course.
We will have more on this tomorrow! Time of post, 2:12 pm EDT 6/6/26.
