If anyone notices someone's Halloween decorations suddenly include a new 14 foot purple grim reaper, let us know. Guess the only possible redeeming outcome is that ours was standing in some pretty heavy poison ivy, so may the itch be with them.

Yes, it is 81 degrees. No, we can't open the pool. The pond, however, remains open. If still looking for a costume idea, saw 2 of the coolest caterpillars this week. Zoom in for a closer look of the spice bush swallowtail on our front door. Didn't research the neon version of a tomato caterpillar, who was much bigger.

Sunfox Halloween 2026 shirts can be ordered! Also, please note that the snack bar will be closed this weekend, and due to the forecast, while we look forward to bingo and our first music bingo, we are offering partial future camping credit for those who may be hesitant to tow their RVs in high wind areas.

All eyes are focused on a potential storm impacting New England this weekend. The latest model remains optimistic that our area will see some wind and some rain, but not a significant hit. We will continue to monitor the forecast, and would encourage those with weekend reservations to do the same. While we don't want anyone traveling or camping in dangerous conditions, we also expect to offer our normal activities if there is some wind and occasional rain. If things change and our area is upgraded to major impacts, such as flood warnings or tropical storm wind watches, we would make exceptions to our cancellation policy...but there is no need to cancel early, as our published policy would apply. We will also make a decision about our annual fall golf scramble that is scheduled for Sunday by Sat night.

Join us on Saturday night for our first Music Bingo! No knowledge needed. Also, as we had to postpone our fall golf scramble until Sept 27, we have openings for a foursome and 3 other groups are looking for a 4th. Nobody is very good, so don't be intimidated. Even this crew was able to win last fall.

A few random notes on this beautiful day... although full for this weekend, we do have a few sites open for next weekend (Sept 25-27), which will feature our first ever Music Bingo on Saturday night. This Saturday night presents Lucky Lefty's Horseracing Extravaganza and Fall dessert potluck. Still hoping to host our fall golf outing this Sunday afternoon, but if the rain arrives early, we may need to postpone a week. For now, enjoy Journey practicing his dock jumping.

Want to thank Dan for his building the walking bridge to the new sites. First time this season that the rain brought the pond and brook over the bank. The rain also kept our numbers down for the annual kids in the hot tub closing day. Although we are full for the upcoming weekend of Sept 18-20, we have a couple of sites open for the weekend of Sept 25-27. Lastly, still opening for a golf scramble foursome for Sunday Sept 20, as well as 2 spots to fill as a 4th in 2 groups.
