OceanCliff Hotel was designed and built in 1864 by the architectural firm Peabody & Stearns from Boston who designed the original Breakers and Doris Duke's Rough point both located on elegant Bellevue Avenue. The estate remained a private summer home until 1954, when it was sold and later converted into an oceanfront retreat to host lavish parties and society affairs. Located on 10 acres of rolling lawns with spectacular ocean views, OceanCliff offers a truly unique blend of breathtaking beauty, world-class cuisine and a professionally trained staff to ensure meticulous attention to every detail of your stay. Twenty-four distinctly stylized guest rooms whisk you back to the 19th century with modern conveniences and stunning oceanfront views. OceanCliff's newly renovated grand ballroom accommodates up to 230 guests for dinner and dancing, while a variety of smaller rooms allow for more intimate gatherings.

A Nor’easter? We got it. 🌧️🤍 The weather may have changed Plan A, but it didn’t change the day.

A beautiful ballroom, cozy indoor moments, and a team ready to make it all happen. The views were still beautiful, the energy was still there, and the party went on.

So photo opportunities, all right here on site 📸✨ You can get so much variety without ever leaving the property. Here are just a few of our favorite spots!

THE ARCHWAY

One of the most versatile photo spots on property. The original stone archway adds beautiful historic detail, while the covered setting means it’s a great option no matter what the weather brings. A favorite spot for first looks!

GUEST ROOMS

Bright, clean spaces with natural light that make getting ready photos feel effortless. With 20 guest rooms in the main house plus a four bedroom Gatehouse, there are plenty of beautiful spots to capture those moments before the celebration begins.

GRAND STAIRCASE

Brand new and already a favorite! This stunning staircase with original stone makes a beautiful backdrop for photos, with the venue framed behind you as you make your way up.

UPPER DECK

An elevated spot with stunning views of the water. In season, the tent creates a covered space, while the cooler months open it up even more. And when the sun starts to set? Even better.

FRONT TREE LINE

A natural setting that offers something a little different from the ocean views. Surrounded by greenery, it’s a beautiful spot for portraits with a more relaxed, nature filled feel.

FRONT CIRCLE

Surrounded by trees, seasonal flowers, and greenery, the Front Circle offers plenty of photo opportunities without ever feeling like you’re taking the same photo twice.

UPSTAIRS MIRROR

A floor length mirror that’s perfect for a quick check before heading downstairs, a few fun photos, or a late night photo session in your second look. A common used indoor spot for first looks with parents or children!

STONE BENCH

A hidden gem tucked away on the property. The perfect spot to exchange private vows or steal a quiet moment together.

SIDE STAIRCASE

A newly discovered favorite! Perfect for group photos when you want to fit everyone in. With the beautiful stone building behind you, it makes for a great backdrop.
