In 1970, 25¢ got you a pamphlet chocked-full of KOA campgrounds. In 2026, we still have our KOA Directory, guiding campers throughout North America. No need to send us a quarter, though - you can keep the change. 😉

Pick up a copy of the KOA Directory at any KOA campground, or find our digital copy here: http://koa.uberflip.com/i/1543262-koa-2026-directory-digital/0

Happy , campers!

This week, we're heading to the Hoosier State’s Land of 101 Lakes. This campground is a lakeside retreat, perfectly positioned off the longest road in the U.S. This is year-round camping at its finest, whether you're here to stay or just passing through.

The amenities list at this campground is long. Like, really long. We're talking four playgrounds, co****le, volleyball, and basketball. A pristine private sandy beach. A dock for fishing and boating. Even a fish cleaning station! You could easily spend your entire trip exploring what's available right onsite. And with hundreds of campsites to choose from, every type of camper finds their perfect spot. Pro tip: if you’re bringing your four-legged camper, be sure to check out this KOA’s Paw Pen Sites.

Need to venture off-property? The campground's namesake town is just 5 miles away. Plus, you're less than three hours from Chicago, Detroit, and Indianapolis, making this the ideal home base or convenient stopover for any road trip.

So... which KOA is this? Drop your best guess in the comments below! We'll reveal the answer tomorrow. Good luck!

Another national park?! Yes, you read that right. The Wonderland of Rocks has become the 64th national park in the U.S.

National parks stand as one of the United States' greatest treasures, preserving incredible natural beauty and delicate ecosystems for the benefit and enjoyment of the public. Now, we have another: Chiricahua National Park! Located in southeastern Arizo...

While KOAs offer a consistent basecamp across North America, the landscapes surrounding them are entirely unique. Take, for instance, our northernmost and southernmost campgrounds.

Up near the Arctic Circle, Fairbanks / Chena River KOA in North Pole, Alaska, sits right along the Chena River. It’s the ultimate basecamp for spotting moose and eagles, exploring the tundra, and witnessing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis.

Travel nearly 5,000 miles southeast, and you’ll trade the tundra for paradise at the Sugarloaf Key / Key West KOA Resort in the Florida Keys. Here, warm ocean waters, sunny beaches, and iguanas take center stage.

North, South, East, or West, from the pine trees to the palms, there's a KOA waiting for you. ☺️⛺️🌲🌴

We're back for even s'more action. 🔥

We’re thrilled to return to the track with JR Motorsports for the NASCAR O’Reilly Autoparts Series at Talladega. Catch Jake Finch in the #9 car on Saturday, October 24th. 🏁

It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

The question is - what KOA are we talking about? Comment your best guess below! The answer will be revealed in tomorrow's comments.

In Loving Memory of Carol Rice

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Carol Rice, who passed away this morning peacefully at the age of 91 with her daughter by her side.

Carol now joins her beloved husband, Terrell Rice Jr, in Heaven. Together, Carol and Terrell were the visionaries and original owners behind Camp Niantic by the Atlantic, building not simply a campground, but a place where generations of families would come together, make memories, and experience the special community they helped create.

Carol’s legacy reaches far beyond the campground she and Terrell envisioned. She was a deeply loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to so many, and her kindness, warmth, and friendship touched countless lives throughout her 91 years.

For those who knew Carol, her passing marks the loss of a very special woman. For those who have camped with us over the years, her legacy lives on in a place that began with Carol and Terrell’s vision and continues to welcome families and create memories today.

While our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for Carol’s long and meaningful life and find comfort knowing she is reunited with Terrell once again.

Rest peacefully, Carol. Your legacy will forever be a part of Niantic KOA formally Camp Niantic by the Atlantic, and you will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Carol’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
