This week for our local attraction recommendation, we suggest you plan a visit to The Prairie House. It is a truly unique structure designed by renowned architect Herb Greene, one of the founders of the American School of architecture which emphasized individual creativity, organic forms, and experimentation. At less than 10 minutes from NCED, it’s well worth your time to check it out!

We left MPI’s World Education Conference yesterday with our buckets completely full. Everything was top notch from the impressive lineup of speakers to the absolutely packed agenda of breakouts, panels, and hands-on learning. Not to mention the incredible Marketplace!

The city of San Antonio really showed off as well – we enjoyed all the special touches and performances.

There are just too many highlights to name them all, so we’re sharing some of our favorite moments we were able to capture.

We know many of our guests come here for training or conferences during the week and may want to add a few extra days at the end to explore the area. This month, we’re going to give you some unique ideas for how to spend that time.

Our first recommendation is that you spend a day at Lake Thunderbird State Park. There is so much to do there from hiking, swimming, boating, horseback riding, and even archery – you can find ways to enjoy the area year-round!
