The City of North Myrtle Beach will host a free Fourth of July Fireworks Show at the Cherry Grove Pier from 9:30 PM through 10:00 PM tonight.

For anyone planning to enjoy the free, professional fireworks show, please be aware of the following information:
⏰ Show starts at 9:30 PM and ends at 10:00 PM.
☀ Operating a golf cart is limited to sunrise to sunset.
🎆 The sale, possession, or use of fireworks in the city limits of North Myrtle Beach is prohibited. The Cherry Grove Pier fireworks display is a permitted professional event.
🚗 Northbound traffic on Ocean Boulevard will be directed into the center lane.
🚨 A small portion of the beachfront directly adjacent to the Cherry Grove Pier may be closed off by Police and Fire personnel starting at 7:00 PM until show's completion, dependent on weather and tidal conditions present.
🌊 Please check the tide chart and plan accordingly for those planning to watch from the shore.
❌ Parking is not allowed in the median on Ocean Boulevard.

Following the Fireworks Show, the North Myrtle Beach Police Department will initiate a reverse traffic pattern in Cherry Grove to accommodate the large number of vehicles leaving the Cherry Grove area. During the traffic reversal, the following will occur:
⬆️⬇️ Ocean Boulevard traffic will move northbound and southbound only (do NOT turn onto Sea Mountain Highway).
🚗 Drivers will access Highway 17 North via 11th Avenue North.
👉 All southbound traffic on Nixon Street and Duffy Street will make a right-hand turn onto Sea Mountain Highway.
➡ All eastbound traffic on Sea Mountain Highway will turn right at Spring Street.
🚓 Once the Fireworks Show traffic has exited the Cherry Grove area, the North Myrtle Beach Police Department will resume normal traffic patterns.

Please be patient and exercise caution entering and exiting the Cherry Grove area prior to, during, and immediately following the Fourth of July Fireworks Show.

As you enjoy your holiday weekend, please help us keep our community safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone. Here are a few reminders:

🎆 Fireworks are prohibited within North Myrtle Beach city limits. With South Carolina currently experiencing severe drought conditions, the risk of fire is even greater. Please leave the fireworks to the professionals and enjoy the City's free fireworks show.

🔥 Grilling safely matters. Fires are not allowed on the beach. Charcoal grills and other open-flame cooking devices are prohibited on balconies and within 10 feet of combustible construction. Please don't cook under tents unless they are properly flame resistant.

🛺 Golf Carts: Permitted golf carts may only be operated on secondary roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or less and only between sunrise and sunset. Golf carts may cross roads with higher speed limits only at intersections.

🏖️ Dig it. Enjoy it. Fill it in. If you dig a hole on the beach, please fill it in before you leave. Open holes can be hazardous to beachgoers and wildlife.

🌊 Help keep our beaches beautiful. If possible, avoid bringing single-use plastics to the beach. If you do bring them, please make sure they leave with you to help protect our ocean, marshes, dunes, and wildlife.
