Hello everyone! We are opening up for weekends starting tomorrow, Friday April 26th. We will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday 2 pm to 8 pm for the next few weeks. We will be cash only as of now. However, we can accept etransfer. Looking forward to seeing you!

Hello everyone. We can imagine everyone is getting excited to get back to camping. It’s been a long winter here in Cape Breton with more winter conditions expected this week but that doesn’t mean you can’t start planning your summer getaways.
We open for bookings today, April 1st. You can access our booking system by clicking the “Book Now” button on our website avocabirches.ca. We look forward to welcoming returning visitors and new folks coming to visit Cape Breton Island. See you soon and have a great 2024 camping season!

There is a provincewide ban on open fires because of dry conditions. The ban also applies to fires in provincial parks and private campgrounds and is in effect until further notice.

A reminder that consumer fireworks are not permitted when open fires are not permitted.

IT’S OPENING DAY 2023!

It’s been a bit of a chilly spring so far but the May long is looking promising! Soon we will be planting and making everything beautiful with all the amazing flowers from Valerie’s Greenhouse.
We look forward to seeing all the new friends we made last year and meeting the travellers that are coming to tour our beautiful Island. July and August is filling up so pop onto avocabirches.ca to book your favourite spot before they are all gone. Wishing you all a great camping season!

Finally was able to stop in today to grab one of those sweet puffins as well as a few other beautiful creations. If you find yourself in the area, do drop in and check out Sarah’s work.

We are open! For the next few weeks we will be open most days from 10 (ish) to 5. No strict schedule, because we have some appointments coming up, but we plan to be here as much as we can.
