Our grounds and gardens aren't kept this way by magic (though it certainly feels that way!).

It’s World Environment Day, so we’re giving a well-deserved shout-out to the MDI business that fills our 25 rolling outdoor acres and hundreds of planters with living color.

Behind the colorful blooms, lush lawns, and hundreds of vibrant planters throughout the property is Hillary and her talented team at Arra Homescaping. A Mount Desert Island native, Hillary brings a deep appreciation for the landscape she calls home, helping ensure The Asticou Hotel feels as lovely outside as it does within.

So, if you spot a bright pink truck rolling through the property, be sure to wave hello – it’s Hilary delivering another bed full of beautiful blooms.
