Using vinegar on w**ds is a safe way to get them out of your garden👇

- 1 gallon white vinegar
- 1 cup salt or Epsom salt
- ⅛ cup dish soap

1. Combine all ingredients together and shake or stir until thoroughly combined.
2. Let sit for a while before using it so that the soap bubbles can deflate.
3. Use a hand or garden sprayer and apply the solution to grasses, w**ds, or plants you’d like to kill.
4. Thoroughly wet both the top and underside of leaves and all areas of the plant down to the ground. It is best to do this on a calm, windless day with strong sunlight, preferably early in the morning so that the sun can help the solution work.

Be sure not to spray this solution onto plants that you want to keep. Also, the vinegar can affect the soil pH, at least for a few days, which usually will not kill other plants but may cause some stress and upset soil balance.

The salt in the solution can also be harmful to nearby plants and will remain in the soil longer than the vinegar’s effects. This vinegar-based w**d killer is especially useful along paths and walkways where there are no other plants that can be potentially harmed and where you do not care to have any plant regrow anyway.

Do this and you will never see flies and mosquitoes in your house again
Only polite members will thank you for the recipe 😊

Creating this trap is surprisingly simple and requires just a few basic ingredients. Here’s what you’ll need:

1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon

Water

Sugar

Dish soap

Prepare the Solution: In a bowl, mix water with a generous amount of sugar to create a sweet solution that will attract flies and mosquitoes. The exact amounts can be adjusted, but you want the water to be sweet enough to lure the pests effectively.

Add Cinnamon: Stir in 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon. The cinnamon acts as a repellent, confusing the pests and making the trap even more effective.

Add Dish Soap: A few drops of dish soap should be added to the mixture. This breaks the surface tension of the liquid, ensuring that once the flies or mosquitoes are attracted to the solution, they will be trapped.

Set the Trap: Place the bowl in areas where you’ve noticed flies or mosquitoes congregating. The pests will be drawn to the sweet scent but will be repelled by the cinnamon and trapped by the soapy solution.

Why This Trap Works
This homemade trap works on two levels: attraction and repulsion. The sweet water attracts the flies and mosquitoes, while the cinnamon repels them, making it difficult for them to escape once they’re drawn in. The dish soap then ensures they can’t simply land on the surface and fly away.

The Benefits of Natural Repellents
Using natural repellents like cinnamon is a safe and eco-friendly way to control pests in your home. Unlike chemical repellents, natural options are safe for use around children and pets, making them ideal for family households. Plus, they’re often more cost-effective and easy to make using ingredients you already have.

With this simple and effective homemade trap, you can enjoy a fly and mosquito-free home, keeping your living space comfortable and healthy for everyone. Give it a try and see the difference it makes in controlling pests naturally and safely.

How you store your farm fresh eggs matters!

As an egg travels through the hens oviduct calcium forms around the yolk and albumen as it travels the egg rotates causing eggs to have a blunt end and a more pointed end. The aircell is located at the blunt end of the egg between the shell membrane and the egg membrane. When you store your eggs with the blunt end down in the carton the aircell begins to lift up
bringing bacteria in contact with the yolk. Over time the heavy contents of the egg weigh on that aircell eventually causing it to rupture spreading bacteria through the egg. When you store your eggs with the pointy end down in the carton the aircell remains at the top of the egg. With the yolk centered and the more alkaline albumen as a cushion between the aircell and the egg yolk bacteria is less likely to grow and contaminate your egg. Your eggs are also less likely to get broken in the carton when stored pointy end down as the pointy end of the egg makes less contact with the carton and is stronger than the blunt end. Storing your farm fresh eggs pointy end down in the carton keeps them fresher for longer.

"The dandelion is the only flower that represents the the sun, moon and stars. ☀️ 🌙 ⭐️. The yellow flower resembles the sun, the puff ball resembles the moon, and the dispersing seeds resemble the stars. The dandelion flower opens to greet the morning and closes in the evening to go to sleep.

Every part of the dandelion is useful: root, leaves, flower. It can be used for food, medicine and dye for coloring.

Up until the 1800s people would pull grass out of their lawns to make room for dandelions and other useful “w**ds” like chickw**d, malva, and chamomile. The name dandelion is taken from the French word “dent de lion” meaning lion’s tooth and they have one of the longest flowering seasons of any flower. Seeds are often carried as many as 5 miles from their origin. Animals such as birds, insects and butterflies consume nectar or seed of dandelion 🐝

Dandelion flowers do not need to be pollinated to form seed. They were well known to ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, and have been used in Chinese traditional medicine for over a thousand years. Dandelion is used in folk medicine to treat infections and liver disorders. Tea made of dandelion act as diuretic.

Dandelions are, quite possibly, the most successful plants that exist, masters of survival worldwide.

Every year countries spend millions on lawn pesticides to have uniform lawns of non-native grasses, and we use 30% of the country’s water supply to keep them green."
