Them: “I want a harbor view in Oak bluffs, family friendly, a walk into town, relaxing vibes, friendly and helpful staff. “

Us: “Look no further”

That is such a picturesque way to arrive on Martha’s Vineyard! Pulling into Oak Bluffs Harbor on the Hy-Line Cruises with the colorful cottages and the iconic Summercamp Hotel right there in sight is hard to beat.
It really does capture that instant wave of relaxation. Plus, taking advantage of the inter-island ferries to hop over to Nantucket is a fantastic way to experience the best of both islands.🏝️🚢

Have you recently taken that trip, or are you planning a getaway to the Vineyard soon?

Still dreaming about how beautiful illumination night is 🏮

08/20/2026

The day-to-night transformation here is pure magic! Illumination Night is a once-a-year tradition held on the third Wednesday of August. Rooted in centuries of history, the event begins when the campground’s oldest resident lights the very first lantern, sparking a chain reaction as the surrounding homes light up one by one. From themed displays to cherished heirlooms passed down through generations, the entire neighborhood glows—making you feel like you’re stepping straight into a fairytale wonderland.
