A few hours Southeast from Savannah TN following the Tennessee River is Decatur Alabama. We stayed at the Jay Landings RV Park. It is a nice park right on the River. We backed right up to a beautiful view of the river. The city of Decatur is very well laid out and easy to navigate. Unfortunately the area seems to have taken a hit from Covid closures....

We moved on to Hot Springs, Arkansas the last week of September. I booked us at KOA in Hot Springs. I had never stayed at a "Corporate" park before even though they are privately owned so I had to give it a try. The park was a little way out from Hot Springs. This KOA backed up to the Hot Springs forest. [ 526 more words ]

Getting it Pretty My plans to get the inside of the Airstream to the point of something I was ready to live in began to take shape. I wanted it light and "beachy". The interior was great in 1997 but what I wanted my home an lighter look. I removed the booth in my Winnabago (my previous trailer) and also wanted to remove the booth from the Airstream. This is Waylon and Willie. They are French Bulldogs. This was such a great poise. Willie, Waylon, and on the floor Huie. They don't seem to mind each other and are traveling great together. And this is Huie doing what he does best. Sleeping. He seems to have taken over the bed. The dogs are used to staying in a trailer and riding in the car. [ 328 more words ]

Now where to go in my new home? My first inclination was to keep it close to home. That was the cowards way to be able to be where I’m secure. So I started planning my adventure. I’m heading east. Working my way slowly to see sister Sue and Dale. Then going south where its warmer. As luck has it, the hurricanes this year are being hard on the Gulf states. I do have reservations for the trip to last me thru mid March. Stay away hurricanes!!.

In March a dream came true. I had been searching for a more reliable rv to get me to my dream, travel at the time of retirement. My prayers were answer just as Covid was starting to be noticed.
