⛱️When we bought this property, we knew we were taking a chance.

When we purchased what is now Summers on Seaview, it wasn't a beautiful vacation rental. It wasn't fully booked. It didn't come with a long list of returning guests. In fact, we inherited zero vacation-rental families.

It needed a LOT of love.

So we rolled up our sleeves and got to work.

We renovated. We repaired. We painted. We replaced. We decorated. We made the space comfortable, bright, clean and welcoming. We put thought into every detail because we wanted families to walk through the door and immediately feel like they were on vacation.

And then came the hard part: getting people to discover it.

Unlike Tides on Tunis, which had an established history of returning guests, Summers on Seaview had to build its reputation from scratch.

But now?

It's a completely different property.
It's beautifully renovated. It's comfortable. It has space for large families, two separate living areas, off-street parking, private outdoor space, and it's a five-minute walk to the beach. It's in a vibrant part of Old Orchard Beach, close to Union Avenue and surrounded by people walking, biking, enjoying the beach and taking in everything OOB has to offer.

And the feedback we're getting from the families who have stayed with us has been incredible.

Those comments mean a lot to us because we know what this property was.
And we know what it is now.

We're not trying to be oceanfront. We're not trying to be close to the pier. We're not trying to be something we're not.

We're offering something different: a beautiful, thoughtfully renovated place to gather with your family and enjoy Old Orchard Beach. 🌊

And we're really proud of how far this little property has come! 🏡☀️

There is still more we want to do. More improvements, more special touches, and hopefully a few surprises along the way. 😉

But for now, we're taking a moment to appreciate the transformation.

Wow... what a summer it has been so far! ☀️🌊

Both Summers on Seaview and Tides on Tunis have been booked solid, and we couldn't be more grateful. 😍

The wonderful feedback we've received from our guests this summer has been incredible and that is not only an honor, but a true testament to the experience we strive to create for our guests. ❤️

There is so much that happens behind the scenes to make these properties what they are, and this summer has truly been all hands on deck! We are so proud of how everything has come together!!

We're already receiving a tremendous number of inquiries for our 2027 season. If you're considering staying with us next year, now is the time to reach out! Our prime summer weeks typically book a year (or more) in advance, and 2027 is looking no different. ⛱️

🦞 It's the little things that make hosting so special.

One of our guests left this adorable painted shell outside for someone else to discover, and it absolutely made us smile. ❤️

It says "2026 O.O.B., ME" with a bright little lobster in the center - a perfect keepsake from a Maine beach vacation.

If you're the talented artist who painted this, thank you for spreading a little joy! We'll be leaving it out for the next guest to find and enjoy. 🐚

☀️ ✈️ One of our favorite little summer traditions at Summers on Seaview is looking up when we hear the familiar buzz overhead.

If you've stayed with us in Old Orchard Beach, or anywhere else, you've probably spotted the airplane towing a giant banner along the coastline. These aerial banners are a classic beach tradition, advertising everything from local events and restaurants to live music and special occasions. Businesses (and even individuals) can pay to have a custom message flown over the beach during the busy summer season.

Grab your morning coffee or unwind after a day at the beach on our 3-season porch, and every so often you'll catch the plane making another pass overhead. It's one of those simple vacation moments that somehow never gets old. ✈️☀️🪸🐚🌊
