DBR in Winter is absolutely magical!
We just can't believe how wonderful all our guests have been this past year and the friendships we've made with so many of you. While all the prep work was tough at times we don't regret one single moment of sore muscles, broken nails, dirty boots, and lost sleep! Wishing you a healthy and successful 2023 which we know will be our BEST year yet. Looking forward to seeing you back and also meeting some new faces.

Unpacking week at DBR! Enjoyed finding a moment to relax on the deck and catch a few rays! Got to see Bob and Rosette for a visit back to their favourite spot on the west coast. Found a new hike in the neighbourhood and relaxed in the tub when we got home. It can’t be ALL work ALL day!

DBR is in México this week! 🇲🇽 Taking advantage of being so close to the border due to family business in Arizona, Paris and I are discovering resort tips and practices to bring back to Canada and share with our guests. Everything from decor to drinks and service to activities (mixed in with a few essential selfie moments)... We are getting ready to pamper you with our top-notch hospitality!

Spring cleaning doesn’t feel at all like a chore in this beautiful pocket of paradise! Took 2 truck loads of leaves and tree clippings to the compost yard, cleared moss and debris from the roof, tried 3 times to navigate the property lines through the ravines. May have gotten sidetracked a few times to take in the magestic surroundings...!

While we journey towards re-opening the doors in April 2022, it's our desire to do so with your safety in mind and we hope you will follow our posts along the way!

There are two very important people who have put their entire hearts and souls into what makes Davis Brook Retreat truly set apart from other stays. We feel ourselves so greatly blessed for the rare opportunity to find such generous friends as mentors who wear their hearts on their sleeves as they lead and guide us through the success they’ve worked so hard for and opened the gate so we can follow in their footsteps. The training and advice, mingled with their enthusiasm and true leadership they’ve provided speaks volumes to the high standards of service they wish us to continue providing you as valued guests!

It’s our humble desire and commitment to strive in excellence when it comes to continuing where the two of them left off and do nothing less than add to their great legacy at Davis Brook Retreat!

DAVIS BROOK RETREAT IS SOLD We, Robert and Rosette Rogers – consider ourselves very fortunate and humbled to have had the opportunity to welcome so many wonderful guests from all over the world.
It has been such a great pleasure to ​be your hosts. We sincerely apologize that due to COVID-19 and both of us being compromised, we had to put a halt on our ​bookings for the last two years. Since then, we realized that we were destined to make the saddest decision of our lives – to sell our beautiful BnB, peaceful, blessed property and home.
On a very positive note, we are so very pleased and fortunate to have the new owners, Lili and Rio De Capite who have the same vision in our property as we had over 16 years ago, to take the helm and ​resume the operation of Davis Brook Retreat.
We are confident that our beloved home and the business has passed into the capable hands of a wonderful and loving family who have great, exciting plans for improvements on the property and will do great work with the business​. Projections are in place to resume bookings by April 2022 and Robert and I sincerely wish them the very best of luck in all their future endeavours.
We request your continued patronage and support to the Davis Brook Retreat as you have done since ​our vision began in 2005 of inviting guests to share in the wonder of our beautiful property.
