Stan accepted the Chernobyl Wings Challenge at Gigi's.

The first wing? Confidence.

The second wing? Determination.

The third wing? Regret.

By the fourth one, Stan was sweating through fur that nature specifically designed for Upper Peninsula winters.

Naturally, he ordered more.

Boyd and Sheri watched the whole thing unfold somewhere between amusement and concern. Mostly amusement.

The good news: Stan finished.

The bad news: Lake Superior experienced a slight rise in temperature that day .

If you're looking for great coffee, great food, great people, and wings that can make a sasquatch question his life choices, Gigi's is worth the stop.

Stan stopped by UP North Cafe to see Faraz.

The coffee was hot, the food was good, and for once Stan found somebody with more Green Bay Packers gear than he owns.

That got his attention.

A few minutes later they were talking football, breakfast, and solving all the world's problems before the second cup of coffee.

Stan isn't saying he ordered seconds.

The evidence has mysteriously disappeared.

The 5th Annual Lights Over the Lake Celebration returns July 3rd, and we're looking for vendors and competitors to help make this our biggest year yet.

🛍️ Craft Show & Vendor Area Opens at **2:00 PM** — Vendor spaces are free, but donations are welcome.

FREE FOOD. GOOD CAUSE. GREAT NIGHT.

On July 3rd Roxey's Bar & Grill will once again be serving up free pulled pork sandwiches and potato salad during the 5th Annual Lights Over the Lake.

Last year they fed a crowd. This year they're back to do it again.

The food is free, but donations will be accepted for the Ontonagon County Cancer Association.

Come hungry.
Bring a lawn chair.
Stay for the music, the contests, the community, and one of the biggest nights of the summer.

Instead, he found open mic night at the Eagles 2239

A few songs, a few laughs, a few beverages, and suddenly the guy who was supposed to be birdwatching is hanging around until closing time.

Sunrise at Sunshine Motel and Cabins this morning. Pink skies, quiet air, and Lake Superior waking up in the distance. This is the kind of peace people drive hundreds of miles looking for.
