Hickory Oaks Campground

10/18/2026

Hi, all:

This post is focused on those who are interested in staying at Hickory Oaks for EAA and LiFest weeks.

As the “Front Page” of our website shares, we are working on our annual, returning customers’ reservations for EAA and LiFest in 2027, getting them plugged into their usual sites. Any annual regulars who signed up in the office during this year’s event weeks WILL get their sites again for 2027, and confirmations are coming, rest assured.

Those annual regulars who want to change their event week site choices for 2027 should understand there could be another regular customer already using that site. In those cases, we will tentatively set up reservations in the sites you used this year during those events, and we can work with you to find another, if this year’s site isn’t preferred for 2027.

All “new customer” requests for EAA and LiFest weeks will be reviewed beginning January 2027, as we are closed for the season. We will review them and respond in the order they were received.

Please remember, we will ONLY respond to reservation requests submitted through our “make a reservation” page on our website, as we will need that info in order to review for availability matches to your needs. We do not take reservations by email because of the specific info covered on the website page that we need first. We will, however, answer questions via email, but it will be very limited, if at all, until January 2027. We will do our best starting January 2027 to respond as quickly as possible, as we do understand you all need to make plans on your ends, as well.

We really are so thankful for the support of all our fantastic guests who have stayed at Hickory Oaks, and for their understanding during this past year of transition. Now having 2026 under our belts as a family, we do feel we have a better handle on managing a campground, and what worked and what didn’t, with very limited staff.

Overall, it was a successful season, with our family looking forward to seeing you all in 2027. May you all have a blessed fall/winter season!

Happy Fall!

It’s been quite a year of adjustment at Hickory Oaks. We thank all of you for your patience and understanding with the changes necessary in order to keep our campground open without office staff. The remote approach of handling reservations went well for the most part.

The family has begun the shut-down process and will not be open for the rest of the 2026 season, except for the few campers who have already planned on being here this weekend and next.

Please review our website hickoryoakscampground.com front page for updates regarding Hickory Oaks, and we hope to hear from you for the 2027 camping season (mid-May through October 1st).

Have a fulfilling rest of 2026!

Hi, all! Just a reminder that you can go to our website at www.hickoryoakscampground.com and scroll down on our Front Page for all the latest news and how to make a reservation request, etc., now that we do not have office staff.

So far, there have been minor bumps that we’re working out with this new system in place. Overall, customers don’t seem to mind the electronic reservation process and payment process, which is great!

As mentioned earlier and as mentioned on our website and phone greeting, July is pretty busy this year. There is more breathing room in August, September and early October.

Don’t forget to contact us via our email address:[email protected] for any questions other than reservation requests.

Thanks, everyone!

Hi, everyone: We’d like to send out this reminder to always check our website’s front page for the latest information concerning reservations and overall Hickory Oaks processes.

We do have recent info noted for interested campers. Please check it out.

Thanks to all for understanding our need to manage differently since the passing of our patriarch and co-owner/manager, Bob Gallinger.

Greetings: This is a reminder to review our website front page (hickoryoakscampground.com) for news and info. This is where we will get word out to customers on a regular basis. There are updates there now for everyone to review.

We are grateful for all the patience you have given our family as we try to keep Bob’s dream going. It means the world to us. This year will be a challenge for us, but please know we will be doing our best in Bob’s memory.

The Gallinger Family

Update 03/01/26: Below are the rates for 2026. Pricing for camping in 2024 and 2025 had remained the same. While we would have preferred to keep rates the same again for 2026, we found we couldn’t manage it, due to costs going up in the current economy.

Please refer to the Hickory Oaks website for further info regarding camping in the 2026 season. The family will cherish prayers at this fragile time.
