There’s a bad spot on the Long Pool to Twin Bridges run, anyone that has been on it lately will know what I’m talking about. We warn everybody we see, but we don’t see everyone that has their own boat. It’s not too far above the Bridges, so it’s close to the end. It’s where the bank is caving in from erosion on river right, the red clay bank. There’s a willow jungle as you enter the rapid & it’s pushing you HARD into the willows on river left. You HAVE to paddle HARD to keep from getting washed into them. It’s dangerous & there have been some very close calls on it lately. One guy with his own boat told me he thought he was going to drown yesterday. I have heard reports of people getting their clothes snagged in them & having to be rescued by someone on the Creek behind them. Even seasoned paddlers are being caught unaware of the strong current. Please spread the word. It’s no joke. BE CAREFUL! Until this is remedied in some way we will not put kids on the Creek! Please plan accordingly!
