The Pacific razor clam is one of the most sought after shellfish in the state of Washington. Better roads and more leisure time have brought increasing numbers of diggers to the ocean beaches. It is not unusual to have as many as a thousand people per mile during a nice spring weekend day.

It’s been a busy fall at the Flagstaff with a fun new back deck. The new art work by Harro is really cool. Seabrook has had a few upgrades also. The arcade is amazing and the new bakery is delicious. Just a reminder that Razor clam season is in full swing. We hope to see you at the beach!

Wow lots of dates for getting those clams!! We just changed our check in and check out times to 3 pm for both. In the off season we can be even more flexible most of the time, just in case you want to catch the end of the hawks game!!

Washington's fall razor clam season will kick off September 22, with 56 days of digging scheduled through the end of 2022.

2021 was a busy year at the Flagstaff. We refinished the floors, put in new carpet and completely repainted the interior. There is a new dishwasher, BBQ, microwave and stove. We also upgraded the decor and made the house even more functional. For all the foodies out there the kitchen now has a sous vide. The Flagstaff is all ready for a great 2022!

After 4.5 years with Seabrook cottage rentals we have decided to switch to Airbnb. We made the move because frankly Seabrook wasn’t meeting our standards of cleanliness and maintenance. We sincerely hope that next time your at the flagstaff you will notice our efforts to make the Flagstaff a better place to stay!!!

The woods around Seabrook at filled with King Bolete (porcini) and chanterelle mushrooms (and a lot of other mushrooms that aren’t good to eat). Who knew!! Looks like we are going to have wild mushroom risotto this weekend. Just one more thing to look forward to while visiting this fall!

Only 80 steps from the Flagstaff is the beer garden with live music on Saturdays. The flagstaff’s sunny front patio would be a great socially distanced place to enjoy a beer and listen.
