KALEIDOSCOPIC CREATIONS

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Color. Pattern. Texture. These themes live in my thoughts, and photography is a way for me to explore their potential. The camera helps me become more aware of the world around me and allows me to translate my thought and observations into visual statements. Without words, I am telling you something about myself. What I pay attention to. How I see it. What it could become.

BIOGRAPHY:
Russel Bash is a fine art photographer best known for his work in which he digitally manipulates images to simulate the effects of a kaleidoscope. This technique produces geometric works of art in which the original subject matter is often difficult to recognize, challenging the viewer to decipher what it is they are really seeing Utilizing this technique, he has discovered that even the most ordinary objects possess limitless artistic possibilities.
