Yesterday's first aid/cpr training was a huge success! 21 locals including the local Hinsdale County Road & Bridge crew, Crazy Horse Outfitter guides, local ranchers and Sportsman's Campground employees participated in the free course sponsored by Hinsdale County and the Pagosa Springs Medical Center. Everyone trained with the AED we keep here on site at the campground and became certified in CPR and basic first aid.

Exploring the Ice Caves yesterday on a beautiful rainy spring day with my favorite hiking partner! Ice Cave Ridge is about a 2 mile hike from the campground or a short hike from the Piedra River Trailhead just 1.5 miles south of us. Always worth the hike.
Crazy Horse Outfitters offers a 2 hour horseback ride that leaves from the campground to Ice Cave Ridge.
