Finding a job that actually fits is hard. Finding one when you have a disability can feel even harder. 💼

If you're an adult with a disability, or you love someone who is, here's something worth knowing. Supported employment doesn't mean someone does the job for you!

Once you're on the job, a job coach is there to help you learn the role, build skills, and adjust the support to what you need, whether that's a little help or a lot.

The plan is built around the person, including their interests, their pace, and their goals for work. 🔨

At NFH, our crew works across several inclusive businesses, from golf courses to snowmobile tours and much more, so there's a wide range of work to choose from.

Finding your way around Whispering Waters! 🌲🏡

As construction began winding down, it was time for some of the finishing touches that make Whispering Waters feel like a retreat.

Each of our four chalets has its own name and its own little place among the trees. Adding the handcrafted signs was another one of those moments when everything started feeling a little more real. ❤️

From the pathways to the smallest details, we’ve tried to create a place where guests feel welcomed from the moment they arrive.

Four private chalets. Four peaceful little escapes. One beautiful place to simply be still. 🌿

We can’t wait for you to find your favorite!

It’s all in the details. 🌲✨

As the buildings and grounds at Whispering Waters began coming together, so did all the little details that would make this place feel like ours.

Custom metalwork, handcrafted wood pieces, chalet signs, and little reminders to “Be Still” were created specifically for the retreat.

We wanted Whispering Waters to feel thoughtful and intentional—not just in the big things, but in the details you discover along the way.

Watching our logo go from a design on paper to something we could actually hold in our hands was pretty special. ❤️

Little by little, Whispering Waters was finding its personality.

This is why we built it. ❤️🔥

So much of the story of Whispering Waters has been about construction—foundations, framing, gravel, equipment and a seemingly endless list of projects.

But every once in a while, we got to stop working, sit down and actually enjoy what was beginning to take shape.

A fire beside the creek. The sound of the water. Trees all around. Nowhere you need to be.

Those little moments reminded us what we were working toward all along: creating a place where people can slow down, reconnect and simply be still. 🌲

We can’t wait to share this little corner of Whispering Waters with you.

Everybody had a job! 🛠️❤️

Building Whispering Waters has definitely been a family affair.

There were big jobs, little jobs, and plenty of “Here, can you help with this?” jobs. 😂 From assembling furniture and filling umbrella bases to hauling, building and lending an extra set of hands wherever they were needed, everyone found a way to pitch in.

Even the girls have grown up a little alongside this project—and we love having these pictures of them being part of something our family was building together.

Someday, when all the construction dust is long gone, these may be some of the photos we treasure most. ❤️🌲

Whispering Waters wasn’t just built for making memories. We made quite a few while building it.

We’re so excited to welcome her for a night of relaxation, complete with her own private Nordic spa experience. 🧖‍♀️💦

Remember that foundation? ❤️

Back in March 2025, the Lodge at Whispering Waters was little more than a foundation, a construction site and a whole lot of plans.

Then, piece by piece, it started to grow. Walls went up. A roof appeared. Rooms began taking shape. And suddenly we could stand inside a place that, not long before, had existed mostly in our imaginations.

The Lodge sits at the heart of Whispering Waters, and watching it come to life has been one of the most exciting parts of this journey.

From a foundation in the dirt to the heart of the retreat. 🌲❤️

And then there were four… 🏡🌲

Little by little, four private chalets began to take shape among the trees at Whispering Waters.

From foundations and framing to walls, roofs and all the countless details in between, it was pretty amazing to watch what had existed only as a plan slowly become something we could actually walk into.

Each chalet was designed to be its own private retreat—tucked into the Alaska woods with space to slow down, unwind and enjoy a Nordic spa experience all your own.

There was still a long way to go in these photos…but the vision was definitely starting to look real. ❤️
