Hotel Thoroughbred is partnering with Hartfield and Co to celebrate America’s Native Spirit. A two-night stay at Hotel Thoroughbred between June 14 (National Bourbon Day) to July 4, 2026 (America’s 250th Anniversary) will receive a complimentary bourbon tour and tasting for two at Hartfield and Co, the first bourbon distillery in Bourbon County since Prohibition.

The distillery is three blocks from the hotel. Tours are daily (except Sundays).

Our bar will be open, and we will be serving New-York style pizza from a new downtown business — Bruno’s Pizzeria. $12 admission gets you a pizza slice and a drink (beer or wine). Watch the race on our big screen in the Winner’s Circle Event Center, or at the Starting Gate Bar.

Golden Tempo Celebration and Preakness Viewing Party 🏇✨

Saturday at Hotel Thoroughbred, we were honored to welcome Cherie DeVaux as a special guest for an unforgettable Preakness Viewing Party celebrating the hometown heroes behind this year’s Kentucky Derby winner.

Guests joined us as we recognized the legendary teams of Claiborne Farm and Hill ‘n’ Dale Farms — whose Bourbon County roots helped shape another champion.

The evening was emceed by Hannah Hamelback of WLEX-TV, who brought the energy and excitement of racing’s biggest season to Bourbon County.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and helped make the evening so special.
