Today is set aside for the people whose work holds everything together- the ones who start early and finish late. We appreciate all of it. Running a small inn and hosting events makes that easy to see up close. Nothing here happens without the people who work hard for our guests, turn the rooms, keep the grounds, and make every moment count from arriving at the front door.

Clyde's C***r Mill opened on September 1, and this is the first real sign of the fall season. The Clyde family has been pressing c***r in Old Mystic since 1881, and theirs is the oldest steam-powered c***r mill in the country. Sweet c***r, hard c***rs, apple wines, and the c***r donuts everyone drives over for. It is a short trip across the state line from us here on Margin Street, and a fun trip for the day. Check our calendar for availability in September and make a weekend of it.

We were delighted to welcome Shopnavybleu to Margin Street Inn to photograph their latest collection. It was such fun seeing the inn and all those familiar little corners through a new lens.

We think the inn makes a pretty nice backdrop, but we may be a little biased. đź’™

Plan ahead, this is one of our favorite ways to end the summer - the Rhythm and Roots returns to Ninigret Park in Charlestown, September 4 to 6, about twenty minutes from the inn. This festival offers 3 full days of music (including Friday!) with 15 Artists performing each day
